Print Presents: The Death of Print the Birth of Chris Faust

“Most species do their own evolving, making it up as they go along, which is the way Nature intended. And this is all very natural and organic and in tune with mysterious cycles of the cosmos, which believes that there’s nothing like millions of years of really frustrating trial and error to give a species moral fiber and, in some cases, backbone.> Terry Pratchett

Artistically, Print of Good Day Good Night embarked on many adventures in his music career. He has performed with the best, learned from music prodigies, and has been taught by Hip Hop icons around the globe. Traveling the world, fusing different cultures, and understanding different social perspectives about life,  has made Print’s journey well rounded as well as insightful. In his journey, he constantly spoke of the evolution of music and where he sees himself in the near future. Understanding the reshaping of  the Hip Hop World, Print’s philosophy of music stemmed from the ideas of growth, progression, and evolution. Artists, who constantly work towards the betterment of their craft, go against the idea of conformity, and are on the forefront of innovation, tend to evolve into great musicians. With inspirations from his AOK Collective, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Mickey Factz, Drake, Kid Cudi, Outasight, Theophilus London as well as many others, Print feels he has come to a state of evolution.

Shedding the old skin and moving forward in his Career, Print has been faced with a simple, yet difficult question. Who are you? Who is he? Who is Print? He has come to the conclusion that Print was only a narrator, a shell, a guardian, a cocoon; safely keeping dormant his true self. In William Shakespeare’s, “Hamlet” , the protagonist embraces an important idea about “self.”  Hamlet said, “To Thine Own Self Be True”, a philosophy Print relates to on a deep level. With this idea holding much truth to Print, he now understands that in order to tell his story from a first person perspective, in order to capture the true picture he wants to paint, in order to really relay his messages, he must embrace his true self; his true nature. Print of Good Day Good Night, no longer can tell this amazing story. He no longer can be the narrator, the shell or needs the cocoon. He has broken out and a wonderful butterfly sores the night air, bringing forth a fresh take on life.  Print will definitely  be missed,  but the future is now and he is ready to lead the pack, in this marathon of music. Therefore, it is with great pleasure to introduce to the world, to Prints fans, to you, “CHRIS FAUST” or plainly  Print evolved. Good Day God Night, Mr. Faust’s band, will still be around, creating powerful music for this amazing adventure to come. So for all of the Print lovers out there, “THE REAL IS BACK.” The era of Chris Fausthas arrived!  Stay tuned for more.
